  This is a set of nine soft black overprints. The four characters read 郵政 Chinese Post. Chan recognises a further 9 values, these may not normally be issued or may simply be forgeries.

Note: Kerr shows the Chinese 葵傢 Kuí jiā gōu (his translation Tsai kia kow). Fisher's Gazetteer has identified a Post Office at Jiā jiā gōu (Chia-chi-kuo), a name shown as an alternative by Kerr - this may be a different town.

These stamps have been identified by using Volume II of the Stamp Catalogue of China by Shui-Hon Chan and the four booklet guide The Local Overprinted Stamps of Manchuria 1945-7 by Allen D Kerr (published 1978 and now out of print). Both works are essential for anyone delving seriously into this subject.
