Set of 6 stamps with a 4 character purple overprint similar to the above. The four characters read 中華民國 Chinese Republic. Kerr was only aware of the first five stamps in this set, the 1Y is listed by Chan but not Kerr. The 30f is missing from all sets I have seen so far. | ||||||||

over the above 4 character overprint. Part of a set of 4 values. Double 10 (雙十節) Commemoratives celebrate the anniversary of the Wuchang Uprising of 10th October 1911. This uprising led to the overthrow of the Qing dynasty and the formation of the Republic of China. |
