This is a hard mauve chop. Above is a complete set of 15 overprints reading 中華郵政 Chinese Post. These overprints were produced by means of a combined chop that overprinted four stamps at a time. Looking carefully you will see four slightly different versions as each individual overprint on the combined chop was slightly different. |

This is a set of two values surcharges with a watery violet ink with 中華郵政 Chinese Post, below this left is the surcharge and on the right 暫作 Temporary Value.
Cover (Right) This cover sent from Ko Shan to Kirin represents half of a set of 2 surcharges known for Ko Shan. Kerr notes that other values may exist. The other part of this set is a 5Y on 20f. This example is dated 19th May 1946 |
