These were created very early for MLO's, I have seen a genuine cover dating from 18th October 1945 (peace was signed on 2nd September 1945). |

Set of five surcharge stamps with an
oily black typeset hand-stamp,
the two sets are very similar but I have noticed that the oily black
ink bleeds through the paper making it possible to tell the sets
apart. Note - The 2000 and 2010 copies of Chan show the wrong image. All of the stamps known for this town are shown above. |

These stamps have been identified by using Volume II of the Stamp Catalogue of China by Shui-Hon Chan and the four booklet guide The Local Overprinted Stamps of Manchuria 1945-7 by Allen D Kerr (published 1978 and now out of print). Both works are essential for anyone delving seriously into this subject. | ||||||||
